So in a revelation almost is shocking as realizing the David Bowie song "Song for Bob Dylan" has the exact same guitar part as the later Eagles song "Free Bird" I just realized that the Prodigy song "Voodoo People" is almost exactly the same musically as an earlier Nirvana song "Very Ape". The only difference is the Prodigy use electronic instruments and different lyrics (or lack there of).

Huh, I never thought of that, but then again, I don't often listen to Prodigy or Nirvana.
BTW, wasn't "Free Bird" done by Lynard Skynard?

I get my southern rock confused. The Eagles, Lynard Skinard, Molly Hatchet... ::shrug::

:spyder: Yeah, a lot of rock and roll sounds alike, just another reason I don't care for r&r. Ya wanna hear some unimitable guitar check out the blues master Albert Collins, he tuned to an open f minor cord and then capoed his axe from the tenth fret up and could still stretch perfect fourth bends. :spyder:

sounds cool...one of my faves is jazz guitarist Alan Holdsworth...most legato guitar phrasing you've ever heard...lovely!:D

I used to work their shows now and again. Small wonder I'm half deaf.:D . Some used to get pretty wild too back in the early years. They were pretty good guys. Age caught up to them too though.
I still rip the tweeters out of my speakers every now and then listening to "lascerating guitars", Mosh with the mastiff and generally act like an old ass.
Pantera still gets me too. It's an attitude I guess.
" You mean grandpa's" guitars?" asks Swisguard :)
I still have a taste for Celtic being I was married to an Irish citizeen for 25 years. Strange stuff for a guy from a family that goes back to the days of Black Sam, the Lonardo brothers and friends up in Cleveland. Ciao Joe
Actually I'm gonna download Tommy E. and see what happens.

Prodigys latest album "always outnumbered, never outgunned" has a few cover songs on it with a Prodigy twist. Juliette Lewis, the actress, is also featured on a few of the tracks.
Just an FYI :)
