Sure. Every time I go there, I learn something new, and spare my learned fellow forumites of future steel tiro questions!

Lee, This is Cliff Stamp's Site (in case you weren't aware of it).
He Links to some good info on different Steel properties posted on other Companies Sites (as you have already found) but his personal steel preferences, his published reports and his personal testing methods should be taken with a grain of salt.

I don't know who Cliff Stamp is, is he some kind of crackpot? All the stuff I have read on their so far seems factual and accurate.

Cliff stamp is a well respected knife tester, AFAIK. He knows a lot about steels and his steel testing is fairly rigorous, as you may have noticed.

I appreciate Cliff's reviews. I have found them to be factual, useful comparisons, a welcome departure from many reviews that appear to be more advertisement than review.

Cliff Stamp has done some very good reviews, but he also tends to bash people for very minor things. That and he isn't a fan of Bark River Knife and Tool, makers of the best semi custom mid-tech knives in my opinion.
