I don't feel my info will help much, but hey, what the heck. I really want to take one of the classes at Spyderco, but I'm a poor college student. If I had the money, distance wouldn't be a problem.

I hope this oppertunity is open for newbies here in the forum.. I just bought my first spyderco and thought id check out the site.. so far, im immensly impressed with both..
1) I have practiced previously.
2) Formally, I've trained about 5yrs off and on, accumulative.
3) Ty Kwan Do, Akido, Weng Chun, (sadly there are no Filipino resources here or i would add that to my list)
4)Currently, only a few hundred dollars.
5) This is a tricky question! Depending on the type and/or nature of training and who is conducting the training. For the information only (meaning not counting the time of the trainer) $50-200 with the higher price for more specilised training and for a more reputable trainer.
6) Sadly i cant give a good answer here... Id be willing to travel as far as it takes IF i had the time and money. I do not..so distance poses a greater problem than cost.
7)Any training i find out about these days is usually on line or in a publication
8)Tacticle Knives, Blade, Small Arms Review... and many publications im sure you woulndt care about. URB and DJ TImes for example.
9)I am in health care.
10)29yo
11)Only a few edged weapons survival classes while with the Sherrif's Dept.
