Calypso Jr. Opinions?

Hello,
I have a chance to pick up a Calypso Jr. in a trade. What are your opinions of this knife. I have a choice of 4 different Spydies. The Calypso Jr., Delica 4 foliage green serrated, Old style Delica serrated and a 1st gen Native. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My opinion on the knife is that it is one of the best EDCs of all time.

Light weight due to linerless handles.
Great grip and control. Very useful choil.
Elegant look but versatile enough to blend into any situation.
Great fish scale type texturing on handle.
Nice swedge on top.
Cuts like a maniac with its thin flatground leaf blade.
Tip down and spyder-droppable.

All in all, I like the Caly Jr. more than the Caly III. It is a spyderco classic for sure! Get it and it will be in your pocket quite a bit.

Personally I'd take the Calypso Jr. over all of those other choices. I think its a great knife that is light weight, very hard working, reliable and with a fairly strong medium duty secure lock, while at the same time fit into a very "sheeple friendly" package. If its one of the ZDP ones its a no brainer but honestly they are all great. The VG10 CJs are very well recieved also and some of them depending on the handle and other things are getting rare.

My ZDP Caly Jr has been my EDC since I got it.

I put a lanyard on it and have been loving it since day one.

If by "1st Gen Native" you mean the BRK Native; you can easily eliminate that choice from the contenders

Wow, it looks like the Caly Jr. is popular. It would be an easy decision except I found out he has a Yojimbo too. Now its between those two. I HATE decisions..lol

Gotta agree here with Daryn.....
But deciding b/w this and the Yojimbo....that's a tough one.....esp with the discontinued status of the Yo.... :rolleyes:
