View Full Version : Stores in LA area?
I'm looking for decent knife stores in the Los Angeles area. Any Southern Californians out there in the know?
I have used the dealer locator to try and figure them out but the locator is missing a vital component "volume bought" so I don't really know what kind of stock a store has until I call them and ask. I'd just like to avoid hastling every knife buyer in the state today.
There has to be someone that knows a good one! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> Knifechic? Someone else?
Thanks!

Hmm... I almost understood that post. I agree it would be really awesome were there some way to judge a retailers stock intake at a glance - It's just not very realistic to expect it. (Judging by the fact we all get errors only posting messages!)
Back to the phone unless anyone can help. :-)

It's been a while since I've been back to L.A. but try B&E Gun Store in North Hollywood, I think thats the name. It's the one that loaned out the AR-15s to the LAPD during the shootout. Also if your near Lakewood go to Lakewood Mall, theres Advanced Cutlery inside there. I recall a couple of others but can't remeber the name or place.
Hope this helps.

Dav,
Look in your phone book under "cutlery". If not, I grew in Orange County....There's just about one cutlery in every mall around there. trust me on this.
Damn, someone read my profile! I'm not up in L.A. much, but the one sop I make a point to stop by when I'm in Costa Mesa is Plaza Cutlery. They've been around forever, and their selection borders on the rediculous, sometimes having so many knives that they're practically piled on top of each other. Very good selection of custom knives, and a very knowledgible staff. BTW, that gun store is B&B, not B&E...that's "breaking and entering!" lol
Its all fun and games til somebody loses an eye, then its fun annd games you can't see.

Haji-
I love that cutlery. I agree...they have a HUGE collection. I will out do them someday. I know I will. And your right. I saw an awesome raindrop damascus terzuola but it's WAY overpriced.
Yeah, costly, but its a) damascus, which always adds a premium to a handmade knife, and b) its Terzuola. They're somewhat rare, as he doesn't have much to take to shows and he has a considerable backlog. Alas, I haven't met him yet. Someday soon. At least I'll get to see the Spyderco guys at the SHOT show in February...along with every other gun, knife, and outdoor gear manufacturer!

Thanks for the help guys. :-)

Thee Cutlery and Shavers at the Manhattan Village Mall in Manhattan Beach, CA. off of Sepulveda Blvd., just around 5 miles south of LAX.
