Just started my first sharpening of a Yojimbo. It looks like 15° per side is a steeper angle than the Yo was originally ground. Can it handle it? That sharp tip is making me nervous...will it become too fragile at 15°? What was the original factory grind on the Yo, anyway...does anyone know? Thanks...

Unless you drop it on a floor that has a concret underneath it:o the tip should be plenty sturdy for normal utility. If the knife is intended purely for SD, you could take the edge even thinner should you so desire.

As scott said it should be fine @15 deg.
The original edge from :spyder: would have been @ 15 deg.
