Has the tip design been changed? I was in my local sporting goods store, and looked at the display model and it seemed that it was different

Was it the G/10 or the stainless steel handle? Neither one has really changed in quite a while.

The G-10 and S/S models have different style tips. Is this what you noticed?

it was a SS, but now I think that I was just seeing things.

REALLY?! well i never knew there was any differency between the blades of the SS and G-10 versions... any chance that some kind soul could do a close up scan of the tips of both knives compareing the differences, i have the SS version but i've never seen the G-10 one, thanks

The G-10 Blade uses flat grinds from serrations to spine, and as a result has a full length distal taper, as oposed to the short distal taper at the tip, formed by the hollow and swedge grinds. The G-10 Blade is stronger, and better at slicing as a result of these differences.

distal taper? neway thanks, so that means it doesn't have the bit at the end where the last inch or so goes thin, never have figured out why it does that... the G-10 police strikes me as an overall much better knife that the SS version... prehaps another one too add to the collection... as soon as i get my parents to allow me a military (in a wee bit of bother at school at the moment <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>) they think i'm crazy for collecting knives... they aren't just knives tho, they're spydercos!!!

Although I have never handled it, the S/S Police has always struck me as extremely handle heavy.
BTW I own a G-10 Police and am planning to get the one of the last versions of it, which have the Boye indent.

Well I finally did get a PE G-10 Police to keep my SE company.

I really wish there was a VG-10, G10 run.

G-10, stainless...It don't matter much to me (I have a stainless Police), but I'd SURE like to have a &quot;left-handed&quot; one (since I'm a &quot;lefty&quot<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>.
