I just picked up a Spyderco Forum 2000 Military, with the Spydie inlay. I've noticed that the inlay has a crack thru it. I'm told that it is common and is an effect of the inlay process.
Anyone have any info on this?

Is this who I think it is??
My bug is almost flawless and I've even dropped it on my hardwood floor face down.
And it's slammed it self into concrete as well.
Is it a ripple type of crack or a crack crack because they all have flaws in one way or another mine has a ripple that looked like a crack until I put it under a magnifier.

Yes, it's me, and you made me dig out the magnifying glass.
It's a crack, running across the full length of the inlay.

My Military Forum (#11) has always had a crack (split?) through the middle of the bug. It doesn't reflect light from both halves evenly, so you have to turn the handle to see the pearl effect. One half is always dark!
I really don't mind it... it's actually kind of different... be nice if it was whole, but..........
Sure is one heck of a knife though, love it!
