Can we get a G19 Poliwog?

Hi Sal and crew,

I was thinking/wondering if you had considered making a G10-Wog?
I am not a fan of metal handles but really like the shape of the Poliwog.

So what do you think?

That would be interesting. I like the sound of it. Though Id perfer a lined handle, atleast nested liners and maybe the caged ball lock. Screwed construction and instead of the rectangle cutouts, have divots milled in like the Yoji. That sounds really nice to me.

I've never given the poliwog a good look, because it looked so #%^ heavy. I mean, you can look at that thing and say: "Paper weight" It just looks like a metal block. Now that I think about it, I think a G10 Poli would do quite well. G10 , BB lock, wire clip.....

I don't know if many people (including myself) would be that interested in it, so I'd bet that it would not make it to production.

I'm not questioning your tastes, but it just sounds like this is one of those things that might sooner happen if you spend the money and have one customized.

If you do get one done like that, please post pics, I'm sure it would look great :D

Nah you have to live with it. But potentially the thread will get more traffic as folks will wonder what G19 is and come take a read. ;)

I agree, the Poliwog is a great knife but it can stand to be a little lighter. I know there's a concept model with G10 handles somewhere at the factory, please consider using it to upgrade the Poliwog for 2008!
