If we hit the whirlpool you may have to use the Hossum for a surf board. My Kabar Kukri will go down with the ship. It is a great knife but for $40 I will buy another. My Temp will swim for it with me.

On my recent raft trip, I found my Hossom had a slight tendency to loosen in its kydex!

A strong rubber band retainer should be considered.

Heat the sheath up and make a pinch point near the tip EastR. Use the Mike Sastre trick.

Just a little on the back where it wont show. You dont want it to come out and get lost or chew you up.

Don't have a Hossum to play with, but just applied a little heat to the end of an old Temperance sheath, squeezed a little, then let set. No problems. Should be able to modify factory sheath as long as you're careful. You guys know what you're doing. What part of Indiana is the White in, where you run it? Might hook up with you sometime for grins.

After the class 4s and 5s you have done you would go to sleep on the White River Mike.:D
We went from Shoals to Hindostan falls. Here is a pic.

The mild can be just as much fun as the wild - it's all about enjoying nature around you and playing with the water. You learn to work with it as opposed to against it. Anyway, I haven't been doing a lot of the high end stuff for a while - too much work and not enough play - so skill sets and reaction time need to be built up again before hitting the really wild.

i don't have a boot for my boat but if you know a good river in the middle between you and me maybe we can make plans to make a trip please keep in mind i am novice compared to you :D but it is great to get out fish and see the countryside that not many see ever in motor boats we can travel much shalower water then them.
