Since spyderco has been always willing to try best steel, I am wondering if they are considering using talonite on blades. Anybody has any idea?

I think the problem here is price point... Just take a look at the price Camillus charges for a Talonite fixed blade, and I think you'll see my point.

Quotes from Sal:
25 September 2000:
We have some Boye Dendritic Cobalt planned for a Military test. These are already cast into the Military shape.
15 April 2001:
Talonite is very expensive and Camillus has an exclusive on the material for production knives. Stellite is similar, but likewise very expensive for production.
.......we're also currently working with David Boye's "Dendritic Cobalt", which is a cast material.

If the blade could be taken some level of care of, I mean, don't use it in sea water or damn rainforest, does talonite do better than ATS55 or 440v?
