Love it! Got for 160 plus tax, I've owned the SS model for many months so I feel like I am very close to the design and my thoughts are that the SS version is a copy of the Ti version, a very very good copy but a mile or two away from the real thing, the teeth are less aggressive but slice real nice, what can I say? I think it is intesting how subtle differences can make all the difference.

Thanks for listening. If anyone knows how many were made that would be of interest to me, I know about the reasons for disco but since they were built in house maybe a number other than 600, 1200 might be possible.

I changed my mind about the whole NYC and GarageBoy thing, I would not want the majority of folks on the subway armed, discretion is king.

Wow!!! A serrated Ti ATR for only $160!!! What a deal!! I think I would have pawned something to buy that one :D That is such a good score.

OK I know a bunch of you are saying>>"but it's a serrated Ti ATR??" Well my response to that is >> "it's not even going to matter 2 to 3 years from now" because the Ti ATR is going to be a real HOME RUN of a collectible irrespective of which variety and I believe by that time people will even pay huge dollars for a used one. Trust me I feel it coming. Did I not predict the current popularity of the Massad Ayoob and Spyderhawk??

But brother you are to be congratulated for such a great score!! You truly must be living right

Well I got lucky the owner was there and I was short 15 bucks he knows I've been buying up a lot of his :spyder: :spyder: inventory but even at 175.00 it would have been a bargain, its gun shop they really don't know jack about knives, they have a cc number and that's all the new stock they get. The serrations on this one are smoother where the SS versions are like little shark teeth, I'm really enjoying it, Ti has about as much in common with SS as peel-ply CF has with FRN, in my opinion, Ti is grippy, somehow. There is no bug logo, just SAL's tag.

I wonder if the clip is ti..?

I may be gloating but who else am I gonna brag to? They wouldn't understand.

I like the not too aggressive teeth as well sometimes. I think thats how the older models always were.

The Ti ATR is one of my all time favorites as well. It doesn't get carried as much anymore, because of all those new models coming out, but my Ti ATR (http://www.spydercollector.nl/index1.php?pagina=collectibles&id=15&ex=none#article)SE is definitely a keeper. Congrats!

That's a good observation Felly because I have said for a long time that the Golden Colorado Spyderco serrations are nice because they tend to be rounded off slices rather than the "spiky" ones that come on the Seki City Spyders.

That's why I would just love a Chinook III fully serrated. Along with 3 other Golden Colorado Spyders I can think of.

The Titanium ATR is truly the "real deal". After owning a couple of the Titanium version I couldn't even begin to generated any interest in it's stainless handled counterpart. AGain congratulations are in order for a great score

Well Brother I'm glad I could be of help :D People just have to understand that there are priorities in life. The Mrs. will just have to get Spyder-fied   .

If you get the little woman a couple of Spyderco kitchen knives for her use you will shortly she her coming around. But look out when she starts checking out folders. I really impressed a girlfriend by giving her a Dodo. It left a lasting impression.

Just be careful and keep the Hawkbills out of her reach  :D :D
