What are the all the different handle variations on the cricket? Specifically was there ever a G-10 run?

Many of you forumites have been SpyderNuts longer than I have.

I am thinking about getting a pair of crickets, one SpyderEdge and one PlainEdge; Carbon fiber is right out because of price, and it is reputed to be slippery.

Here are the ones I know of:

Black Zytel

Pink "

No there has not been a production version of the g/10 handle on the cricket.
We have done FRN, Aluminum, carbon fiber.
Don't hold your breath on seeing a g/10 cricket.

I love my *Tufram* criket... may get a FRN/Plain to go with it.

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

Just a question.
Some people call the coating on the aluminum cricket 'Almite', while others call it 'Tufram'.
Can someone maybe clarify this?
Thanks,
Ted

Ted, those that refer to the aluminum handle Cricket as "almite"-coated are not correct.

The aluminum is coated with Tufram. It is charcoal grey in color, and has a matte finish and texture.

Almite has a smooth finish and texture.

Nah, Patogordo, am not interested in collector's pieces at this time; I like to be able to use my tools. Besides, I am trying to modify my tip up reflexes into tip down reflexes.

Transposed tip up/down; most(all?)of the biggest Spydies are tip down, and I will be purchasing more of these as sisters to my G-10 Police, but the cricked might be better around sheeple.

I am suprised there was never even a sprint run of G-10 Crickets.
