Your opinions on which is the best knife for self defense would be much appreciated. I just bought an Endura, but will probably use it as a utility knife. I live in Michigan and believe our law limits blade length to 3". I thank you for your time.

Hmmmmmmmm........3" huh. Looks like you need a Gunting (C68). It is 3" long exactly and designed to be legal in all 50 states. There are even videos and Martial Blade Craft courses available on how to use this knife. VERY effective design. This knife offers many "non-lethal" options, before having to result to the blade itself. If you were willing to go a little above 3", I would also suggest the Massad Ayoob (C60), or a Military (C36). However, it is always in your best interest to submit to local laws. Also realize that any knife can be used for self-defense if needed. The Rescue (C14) model gives exceptional cutting power, with a "politically correct" design. Think about it, if you were on the stand, what looks better....a sheepfoot design or an aggressive looking knife with a tapered point. Hope this helps ya out a little.

Ryan is right. The rescue models are the ultimate "stealth" defense knife.
