I have a few Spydercos (Endura PE/S Endura S Police S Native PE Ladybug PE/S Ladybug II S) My question is my Endura with the serrated edge is an early one with the plastic clip. The clip has broken from normal use, is it covered under warranty? Also I lent it to a friend and he broke the tip off. Should I send him a bill for the knife? Or because I'm a loyal Spydie junkie will they handle it for me?

Hi Hoosierdaddy! Welcome to Spyderland! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

With your broken clip, Spyderco usually won't replace those under warranty. However, they will regrind the handle and put on a metal clip for around $10, according to one reply I saw.

As for your friend, did he apologize for breaking the tip, or offer some form of compensation? I would probably let the issue go so as not to endanger the friendship.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Thanks, Sword and Sheild and JSmith for replying. I'm not about to lose a friend over a knife, (even though it is a Spyderco) but I'll always be able to give him s@#t about it. Imagine some one useing it as a prybar.
