On Friday, i was helping the boss clean out one of his storage units (and I thought *I* had pack-rat tendencies, my OCD is *nothing* compared to his....), he had a pile of old computer parts and a couple old PC keyboards

one of the keyboard cables got tangled in some of his other crap and was beginning to pull him off balance, he was at risk to drop the entire pile.....

instinctively, i whipped out the SE Para, and with a quick pull cut, severed the keyboard cable, allowing him to take the load over to his minivan

after i cut the keyboard cable, i was concerned about edge damage, as computer cords have copper wire in them, and cutting wire with a knife isn't a good idea, heck, i chipped my PE Native doing the same thing.....

I went to check the blade, no damage at all, it was like i hadn't even cut with it, that Para is one sturdy workhorse of a knife.....

Awesome, I was repairing a welder once, and had NOTHING to cut 0000 gauge welding wire........except for my para! Sawed right through! alright, it took a little effort, but still, no damage, and thats cutting through 5/8ths of an inch of copper :-)

I've gone through wire a few times with my spydies... why look for the wirecutters or get my multi out.

Other than rolling the edge on a freshly sharpened delica I haven't done any edge damage to speak of.

Find that serrations work great for stripping wire. Almost seems like it was made for it ;)

I wish I had known or thought of that yesterday. I was hanging a new light fixture and couldn't find my wire strippers. I always know where a serrated Spydie is.
