You know how you have your EDC knives in rotation and then you find you're picking one more than the others and then finally that's the only knife you chose. Well that's what's happened to me with my grey aluminium Centofante, it's now my preferred carry at work (the Chinese Folder's for weekends ). Anyway it's very lonely in the knife roll and really needs a blue one to keep it company. I'm kicking myself that for not buying one years ago when I had the chance.
If anybody sees a plain edge, blue Centofante for sale anywhere could you please drop me a line. I'm even prepared to offer a pouch made from a kangaroo's scrotum as a reward .

Just in case anyone doesn't know the principals in this drama, here is the subject of his quest..... and the carrot(so to speak) he is offering. ><g>

LMAO!!!!
OMG, that IS an interesting pouch!! Can I get one even w/o finding a Centofante? LOL!
So, is this a generalized part of your Down Under culture? Would you like to share the origin of this interesting custom?
Oh, and I will keep my eyes peeled, you offer is much too interesting...

Would you consider a green knife for a blue roo pouch? Never mind.......
You do know that John Jensen has the grey and also the green scaled knives you desire? Not the blue though.....

Actually I never knew such pouches existed until an American asked me about them on the forums. I still thought they were a figment of his imagination until I saw them for sale in a tourist shop down by Circular Quay. Not sure what I could bring myself to use one for though, I suppose storing marbles would be appropriate .
At least it created some interest in my post .

Scrotum? Marbles? Clay, you have to stop this word game, LOL! It's only 10:50 p.m. here, you're not even giving me a chance to be insomniac if you make me laugh so much and get me tired enough to go to bed.
Sheesh... time to turn in, this might get ugly.

My goodness, from what I've seen of buffalo that must have held about a year's supply of tobacco. Either that or he was a very heavy smoker .

Depends on whether he smoked a pipe or rolled his own.

You're quite right Chinook. I was trying to remember what we called the really big ones when we were kids. IIRC they were called "conkers", although my wife reckons they were "bonkers" but I think she's thinking of something else .
Blimey the rubbish you have to write to keep your post on top . I still haven't found a blue Centofante.

Clay,
If it helps, the large marbles were called "Balones" in Spanish (loosely translated to big balls, LOL!), although, I remember my dad calling the transparent ones with inner cloudy colours differently... oh, well, at least this will still keep your post at the top.

Kahz,
Is marbles still a popuar game with kids in Mexico. I haven't noticed my kids playing, at their age they seem to be much more interested in Pokemon cards. At my own school the big craze is Magic cards, but I was surprised to find some of my Year 10 boys (15-16 years old) playing marbles in their motel room on our last ski trip. Maybe that's just an indication of how tight a rein I have them on .

Clay,
It was probably in older generations than mine. Of course, I had some inherited marbles from my dad, he used to be excellent at it (or so he says ). But I can't recall my generation playing marbles in general, or later generations really. I have no idea what kids these days play "in general" in Mexico, since social structures are so separated, but I can easily guess that many kids are playing with PlayStations or Nintendo consoles, and watching too much television, just like in the US. Oh, and Pokemon is very popular as well.

Kahz,
I'd forgotten about Nintendos and PlayStations. I'm one of those narky fathers who refuse to let their children play with them. They can always look at my knives though .
Well we've certainly strayed right away from the topcic and there's still no blue Centofante in sight. Maybe I should offer 2 kangaroo scrotum pouches for a reward. Ah well, I'll just have to hang around ebay and the "For Sale" forums for a while and hope one turns up.
Take care,
Clay

Kangaroo scrotum pouches and cane toad coin purses, man there are some interesting leather products down under. Are there any other leather products unique to Australia?

I dont know if this is unique, but you could get a sharkskin belt that is 30 times as durable as regular leather. And you could get Kangaroo skin belts that were about twice as tough as leather.

Clay,
Good on ya!
My boss the Aussie reckons they are called Argots, although he thinks that's an obscure name. He mentioned Alleys also, does this ring a bell? He said you better leave Skippy alone. Don't mess with his sack. Had any "Bundy" lately? What are the Blundstones made of? Just regular leather eh.

Hoosierdaddy,
The word "argot" rings a bell somewhere in my distant memory but I can't remember much more than that. Too much Bundy in my youth . The Blundstones are ordinary cowhide but are the best boots I've ever owned.
