Hi, this is really bugging me... There's a picture of a hand holding a knife at the top on the sypyderco section of www.knifecenter.com and I haven't beenj able to figure out what it is. It looks like such a nice blade shape, simmilar to a tim wegner, and a great handle.

Can you help me out?

BTW: I've never posted a pic on here, so I hope it works <br /><a href="/forums/attachmentarchive/2939-7-demo.jpg" target="_new">View Attachment...</a><br />

This model is most likely the Pro-Grip SS. Check under knives on page 2 of the Spyderco Online Catalogue. It also might be the Pro-Venator or the Spur, both of which Spyderco phased out in late 1999. That group of knives was reduced to the Pro-Grip model. Hope this helps.

It looks like a Pro Grip to me too.

I think (I might be wrong) that the Pr-Venator was only available with a 40/60 blade, so I would say it was the Pro-Grip as this one has a plain edge.

minimarc123,

I agree, I always saw it as a Pro-Grip.
