I was surfing some knife sites this morning.. looking for something to dream about tonight... and it hit me like a brick!!
Why (if any reason exists) Has'nt Spyderco Entered into the "neck knife" market?? Think about it? Take the ...Umm.... Military blade.. attach a handel much like the shape of the original military handel, on the same stock, and slap a couple of thin G-10 scales (or maby no scales?) and you have the geometry similar to a Kasper, but distinctvly "Spyderco" :D
Just a thought.. Oh yea .. keep the hole.. its a trademark and a land mark alike..

good idea, yes, a low profile smaller neck knife would be good, how about adding a kydex/rubber mix grip to insure a non slip handle?

I think you may have attached the wrong "clue" .. that thread is about the Perrin ... and unless your built like a grizzly (and dress like grizzly adams) a 5" bladed bowie is a tad excessive to be concidered "neck knife". I have a knife that was custom built and touted as a "neck knife" with a 4" blade and its a even large.
When I enquired once earlier on the Perrin .. it was mentioned that it was meant more as a camp/outdoorsy kind of blade.. seriousl.. the Moran Skinner would make a more practical neck knife than a 5" bowie???

Sharp1 is 6'9" and about 385lbs, just kidding, but that might warrent a perrin bowie as a kneck knife.

At the NY Custom Knife Show, Spyderco showed off prototypes of light weight neck knives, including one made out of G-10 material.
Soon will come!
One way or the other, you pay for your tools!
