I received my first spydie from a good friend (my second one, a Calypso Jr., is coming this thursday!), and seems to be an early police model. It is a stainless handle with no markings, and serrated blade that says "POLICE MODEL" on it, not just "POLICE". It says "SEKI-JApAN" on one side at the bottom of the blade and "SPYDERCO" on the other side at the bottom. There is no spyder bug on the clip, just a patent no., and no indent in the lock. Any ideas as to which year(s) this is from? Oh, and this is my first post here, so hi everyone!

Sweet! Its in pretty bad shape (hand-me-down), so do you think spyderco would still do repair work (for a fee, obviously) for such an old knife?
