anyone here knowledgeable on pin up girls? I was going to get a tattoo of one and i saved 2 pics of this one specific picture that I like but they didn't save correctly. I've searched for hours and i cant even find the site where i found the pics on. If anyone can link me to sites they know of or even if they think they might know the picture by the description of it I would grealy appreciate the help

I don't know if it will help, but I have a bunch of pin-up style wallpapers saved at 1024 x 768 that I could e-mail you (about 13.3 MB worth). I could thin the herd if you could be a bit more specific. A lot of mine are Gil Evgren, with a Vargas or two.

There's one, and only one: Betty Grable.
Brave men saved the world with this one.

Did you know she was about eight months pregnant when that picture was taken? That's why she had her back to the camera.

You know, I have heard that but I never believed it.
So...I just did a little research and it appears that, though it's theoretically possible she was pregnant for the photo shoot, she certainly wouldn't have been showing. However, she was very pregnant by the end of filming the movie "Pin Up Girl", which was made in response to the popularity of the 1943 photo. Her daughter was born in March of 1944, the film was released in April.
It seems like the fact that she was pregnant while shooting the picture "Pin Up Girl" has over time morphed into, "She was pregnant in the pin up girl picture." :)

I second that.
Anyway make sure that the artist you choose is real good.
Portraits in tattoo is only mastered by the very best.
See if he has done that sort of work before and then decide, does it kinda looks like it or is it really good.
It's your skin.

These tats are quite hard to give, you really must choose your artist wisely. just pay what the best wants and get the best job possible.

my artist IMO is one of the best, and very close to me. www.chrisadamek.com I have half a sleeve (elbow to top of shoulder) done by him and its amazing. If anyone sees it they automatically ask where i got it, and who did it. It's pretty new so its not on the site but will be soon.
