Which site offers the best prices on the net....good sites? I am thinking deeply about buying a Civilian for collection purposes and maybe a Matriarch for carrying but they might just both end up being collection or I might not buy them. Anyways the sites are a good thing to know

found this on bladeforums
The best regular pricing I've seen is either www.knifeworks.com or www.newgraham.com or www.toptexknives.com
I haven't used toptex, but they seem to get good reviews.
www.bingshop.com has a few selected models cheap in their "hot deals" section.
www.outdooramericastore.com has a few unreal prices, but Jed is often behind on his webstore, and I have ordered models twice that were "on sale" only to find he was out of stock.
www.johnfjensen.com has many discontinued items and many at good prices.

KK-Since you "Don't DO Phones", this won't help you much, but for others not familiar with Jed's store, browse on-line and then absolutely CALL HIM to place your order. You'll be amazed at his low pricing on some Spyderco models and he offers great personalized service. ODA has an 800 # as well, so there is nothing to loose;that way you won't be disappointed in the sometimes erronious web site shopping cart data.
JJ also is great, and his site is updated and true on stock and pricing. I recommend both-FYI.

Thanks people. I have also found :
www.onestopknifeshop.com which is where I am getting my Matriarch for 54.99 (including UPS Ground Shipping)
www.mairproducts.com has a Matriarch for 51.99 but I do not know about their other knives there though

I find that hard to believe your buying a matriarch for 54.99 including shipping, seeing has how that's not even a dollar over cost, I'm sure Spyderco would be interested to know that 1SKS is selling their product for no profit. Get real.

I think you need spanking little boy, I did look it up, but it still makes no since, and by the way Spyderco has an interest in everything that is sold with their name on it, but I guess you know all the ends and outs of the knife business right?

Why buy anything as a business if your going to sell it for less than you paid for it? Does sound logical to you. Businesses are supposed to make money, not lose it. If everyone starts selling Spyderco's for far less than they are worth, then what good does that possibly do for the company.

I really don't see why you would care about 1sks making their money or not. If they go out of business because they sell knives cheap fine that is their fault. But as long as they are in business and you are getting your knives why do you care?

I really need to learn how to deal with my sudden bursts of anger that last about 10 minutes . Now I realize how stupid I sounded, it does seem strange that a company would do that. But I am thinking now that since the Matriarch is kept on a low profile maybe they only order a couple at a time and that way they don't lose but so much money
Can we agree on that?
Sorry about earlier...I need to think about things before I just blow up about them...sorry
Red - The price is the price. Don't bust his chops because someone else made a business decision to sell items at a low price. rr

I think maybe a bigger issue you might think about is controlling that temper when carrying a Matriarch. My dad had a temper that was like the 4th of July, everytime he went into the garage everyone split for an hour or so.
Another is the age issue for buying knives online.

The Matriarch will stay in a display case unless I am going somewhere alone by myself when it is dark out. I wouldn't ever use a knife like that anyway, unless it was for defense.
My cousin buys it as a gift for me. For Christmas.

I only paid $55 for my Matriarch from WORLDWIDEKNIVES.COM, so I don't find it very hard to believe that you could find one for $51-$52 if you looked hard enough--Pachucks

Well my topic that could prove to be very helpful was shot to **** all because someone didn't believe that some companies actually made their own decisions to sell what they wanna sell at the price they wanna sell it at.
