Been asked about this a few times, most recently today. Decided it might be a good addition to my "SPY-101" series of tutorials. It's not rocket science, but eBay does not make it simple either. Anyway, here's a link if you're interested.

It can definitely lower the number of item returned by your Spydero Saved Search if you're primarily interested in the older "collectible" models and want to filter out some or all of the sellers who list massive amounts of current production models. It can also filter out the keyword spammers who clutter up your Spyderco search with a bunch of non-Spyderco products.
