It's great! The Yojimbo will now replace my Chinook II as my edc. I love the Chinook, but it's size/weight sometimes made it difficult to carry depending on what I was wearing and it didn't offer much room for my cell phone in my front pocket(I refuse to wear holster for anything other than my pistol while in civies and my phone is not small). The ergos on the Yojimbo are great, but taking a little bit of getting used to.

Thanks to JD Spydo for his assistance and to Raqudu for suggesting John Jensen.

One question, however, what is the small dimple on both sides of the handle(about two-thirds of the way down) for?

I think those dimples on the handle are there to provide "gription" :)

Those dimples are called "indexing divots". They are used (IIRC) to index the knife when changing between grips.

It's an indexing divot. it helps turn the knife with one hand. it's essential to an MBC knife. the same thing is on the Lil Temp, the Temperance, and the Gunting

:spyder: Even though Michael Janich designed the indexing divots into the Yoji he does not advocate grip changes in the middle of a fight. He only advocates one grip change in a fight (mimes inserting the knife, letting go, changing grip, pulling knife out.):spyder:
