Our friends at Knifecenter have the smallish G Sakai Clutchlock, from 2003, available. It looks similar to a ti handled CRKT folder from the past. I believe that this is called new old stock.
Interesting materials, anodized titanium handle with cocobolo, and not bad looking.
Can anyone recommend this blade? The fact that you don't see any clutchlock folders today says something. Too expensive to make or perhaps not safe in action. How do you open the blade?

The thumb stud on the clutch is used to open the blade and lock it into position. To release slide the stud towards the point of the blade.
I like mine...my only gripes: that anodizing (for me ) just didn't hold up to EDC pocket wear, the Aus-8 while easy to resharpen didn't hold an edge long enough for my taste, and lastly the clutch lock, while clever...never really earned my complete trust.
But it is a pretty little knife, lightweight, and a good size. Mine with MOP is definitely a conversation starter when I did carry it and leant it to people.
(That might be an indicator, I would lend this knife out, where 99% of my true Spydies I do not.)
Hope this helps.

It's a nicely done Ti-scaled knife with decent steel. For the money, you won't find a better looker with a unique lock, but .... again, for the money, if this one is going to be a heavy user ... get a Delica. I keep one in my EDC rotation and always get comments on it when I use it. Since mine isn't a daily user, the finish still looks new after several years (I likely end up carrying it once or twice a month).
Spyderco sold a series of these that make a nice collection if you can find them. There were 5 variations.
White Pearl
Black Pearl (never officially offered by Spyderco, but available frm others)
Cocobolo
Geometric Designs on the Ti scale
Some sort of tan colored bone ..
