Frn Scales On D4 And E4

What is the future possibility of having different colour scales on the D4 and E4,for purchasing to the general public?just the scales.
Specific pink,blue,british racing green,foilage green etc.
I know spare parts are available through Spyderco,but on the scale subject, im not sure.
it would be nice though,if u can change scales on a D4 or E4 like this.

Think most would want the sold as a set with the backspacer, since it is "color coordinated" with the scales. But, to answer your question, I would think that, at some point in the future, if Spyderco feels that: a.) there is sufficient demand from the general public, as opposed to just us in the "affi" community, and b.) that John Q Knifebuyer is capable of rebuilding his/her knife successfully, then, they will offer such a kit.

Not sure if the rest of the Spyderco buying public would be interested, but even if they were, "b" will probably be the deal killer considering the number of knifeknuts that have used the D4 and E4 to prove they lack mechanical skills.

Perhaps, with a metal backspacer to eliminate the major test of mechanical ability from the process, it might be feasible.
