You are correct I rushed in without reading the rules, however it does seem strange that everyone here is a spydie fan that we cannot help each other out with a few tips especially the newbies like me in the UK who struggle to get the variants etc. over here.

hey ian...try bladeforums.com for that and then there is britishblades.com although i am not sure if buying/selling/trading is allowed there. GL finding a blue one...IIRC they came in the bladeforum model, a regular blue model and a blue G10 model.
