Sorry guys, I didn't know this could be so frustrating. I love the Bob Lum tanto, but I just find that I can not use that collectable piece for daily use. Actually, I just want to trade that out for several new spydies including a ti tanto for daily use...

Sorry for advertising here, I appoligize.

That is bulls**** he/she shouldn't have entered the contest if they didn't want it. She could have sent it back and said pick someone else. But that is bull****

Please excuse my language but I am upset.

499.99 as an opening bid.... *shakes head in disgust/anger*

If someone were to bid $999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,9 99,999 for it would it cancel the auction since that is an unreal amount of money that no one would have?

She wouldn't even give Sal the respect he deserves by spelling his last name right.

She/he/it can do whatever with their easily won prize. I think it a bit tacky to advertise it here tho.

Seems that this guy has decreased the open price to $300.

It IS annoying that Bowie59 only dropped into the forum to get a freebee. If this person was contributing to knife lore and the good of the forumites I could see the post-but greed is greed is greed. Smells bad.

And it takes all kinds. Even kids who get all excited and cuz -dooh

Hey Bowie 59. Just keep the dang proto and use the heck out of it for a lifetime. It will maintan its' value because it is a PROTOTYPE! The only one made is the only one made. Use it-don't lose it, then...

Contribute to the forum and let us all know how it performs and why you love it and how cool it was to have kept it instead of selling out. "Instant Karma gunna get chya"

JMHO- end of rant

Thanks Sharp1, I decide to take your advice. There are always lots of ways to get money to buy new spydies, but there is not that many ways to buy such a piece. I just canceled the auction and I decide to keep this knife as long as I can still find my next meal.

Sorry for bothering you guys and wish you all have a good weekend.

Bowie59,
Ya done good! That knife has Sal's spirit in it(and whom ever else worked on it). You have a prize. Carry it, cut, chop, scrap and dig with it (no prying) and then wipe it off and put it on the mantle between sorties.

Super gald you are keeping it.

Thanks for the post too.

?59,
It is your knife. It just hurt to see it for sale so quickly after you won it. I'm glad you are keeping it. I also hope you get your next meal. This time of the year some things get sold that we hate to sale. I've had to do it myself. It stinks.
