How can I fix the blade play on my ti linearlock by myself instead sendin it to Spyderco? the play is just back and forth but no left and right. Can I just stick some materials to the linearlock?

OK, I've fixed it!
Scotch tape is just perfect!

LOL I have no idea but can't you just tighten the screws?

I even read one post a while back where someone smacked it with a hammer and it fixed it...but I don't advise that!

The play is like that the linearlock is not long enough which makes the blade moves up and down. Help me! the scotch tape was good... but it quickly worn out! Can anybody give me some advice on what I can do with this problem?

I'm not sure what to do for you on this one. Maybe Sal & co. has an answer to this one that no one here is thinking of. Any takers?

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

golem,

I don't know if you can take the linerlock apart without taking the whole knife apart, but if you can get it apart, try hitting the end of the linerlock with a ballpeen hammer against something solid (metal) like the anvil on a good vise. This should expand (lenghthen) the end to take up play. Hit it softly first to see how much it compresses, you don't want to over do it. You can always smack it again. If you can't get it apart I don't think you could strike it with anything significant to extend it. Use your best judgement, and maybe wait to here from Sal or someone at SFO. Good luck!
