I got my new wave yesterday evening! All I can say is wow! It is absolutely the highest quality knife I have ever bought. The wave blade is awsome! I will post some pics asap, but I thought it was going to be black... It is actually a dark blue color. I still like it, but i was wondering if anyone else has a wave in this color? I thought they only came in black.

Congrats on the E4W. One of the best values in that price range IMHO. I love mine.

Always great to hear a fellow Spyderfan's enthusiasm over a new knife! For the longest time I thought my Delica 4W's handle was black FRN, but one day I noticed it's actually gray or dark green, I can't really tell which! :spyder: :)

There is the Blue (gray) ones. Then there are the gray versions that were done in collaboration with Self Defense Forums as a sprint run, and available only on those forums (before those forums went "poof" ). If yours is the gray one then it would say something to that effect on the blade (I forget what the extra etching is).

Mine is definately the bluish gray one. The only thing on the blade is the emerson wave patent, and your standard VG-10, Seiki City, ect...

I just heard about a 3rd gen Endura Wave a couple of days ago.
Wonder how hard it would be to find one.

The original 4th generation sprint run of E4W's and D4W's were blue-gray. However, the E4W and D4W have been added (with black FRN) to the full-time catalog.

Where'd you hear/see this?
I didn't see any mention of the gray handled ones in the closeout list, so does this mean they are going to carry both?
The only ones I've seen are the bluish gray E4W's. Interesting to note that the original SDF Waved Endura's were made during the transition from the E3 to E4, and actually had the newer style blade with the strengthened tip.
