Are there any plans on the books to upgrade the steel on the Pro Grip Lightweight from AUS-8 to ATS-55 or G10 or something else?

I can't help you with that but I can help you with this...G10 is a handle material..not a blade material as far as I know.

mnblade,
I think you mean VG-10, and I don't have any idea re. this
Fellow forumites......both the lightweight and the stainless steel pro grip will be available with VG-10 steel starting sometime within the next year. Hold out and good things will happen.
PS - G10 is a handle material and as far as I know there are no plans to release a pro grip with it. However, stranger things have happened.

Oops, y'all are right, I meant VG-10, not G10.
That's great news that the Pro Grip will be available with VG-10. Count me in! I think this is a really under-rated little knife with a great utilitarian blade.
