I still see pink, Kahz. I have taken the wise counsel of the group, and posted a Wanted in the BF.
I will no doubt be seeing pink in my dreams......
I might have to get the pink Delica, just to see how I like the color. I don't know, but I have a bad feeling about the pink cricket. I mean, if I do get it, what if my friend, [ who is a girl ] suddenly becomes attached to it?? Oooh Nooo! You mean I would have to chose between the two? :-)
Well, I will worry about it tomorrow.
G'night, all!

Yipee! The UPS man was one day early!
I just got my HK "Q"! Serrated, of course. I am now an official member of the "Q" Club.
It's a nice knife! Extremely lightweight, and a major head-turner. Paid $55 + shipping from www.ndsproducts.com.
Sharp1, did you get yours yet?

I just got back from sending out 75 bucks to achive my "Q"-hood. Hey, I think it's the best $75 I've ever blown. On eBay it was described as a NIB "Q", [serrated of course] that came with a catalog with knives that were made at that time. I can't wait to see that catalog......who knows what 'vintage' knives will be there.
BTW Kahz, I am still on the hunt for the elusive pink thing..........

SpyderNut,
Did you see "When Harry Met Sally"? (Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan) Your title for this topic reminds me of that movie. It cracks me up...

Kahz,
Although I haven't yet seen, "When Harry met Sally", I know exactly what part of the movie your talkin' about. I did see some previews of it, and it looks like a good one.
Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to watch any movies because of my "pink-affliction".

Spydernut,
It's a funny movie, IMHO, maybe because I just adore Billy Crystal. Do watch it when you can actually get away from your computer screen.
Good luck with your pink search. Any news yet?

Kahz,
I don't have much going on tonight, maybe I could rent that movie. Your right, Billy C. is an awesome actor. I also enjoyed "The Kid", with Bruce Willis. I didn't think I'd like it, but good old Bruce did a fine job.
As far as my pink quest is concerned, I still have a long way to paddle. I did get an e-mail from a gentleman off of the BF, but it was just counsel and not any real clues. So sad. Anyway, I'll keep my chin up, you never know when one might pop up......

LOL! Like I said, I love your sig. Being that I have some Viking blood in me (I think I actually do), I can relate with the berserk thing.

Kahz,
The Vikings were great people, I'm glad to here you have some heritage there. I'm jealous......
If that quote holds true, I'm in trouble, 'cause it seems I'm always in "doubt or danger"! The "running in circles" thing is close to home as well. :-)

Spydenut,
LOL! I am sure he did...
About the Viking, well, it seems like it, but we (from my dad's mother side) have only gotten as far as recognizing _factual_ family ties from the Isle of Man and Scotland. It seems that we belong to the same family line as Stephen F. Austin, the guy who founded Austin, Texas (I am sure that at some point everyone in this world has a famous ancestor, LOL!). Family trees and genealogy can get pretty interesting if you dig far enough. From my mom's side I have a lot of Spanish, Lebanese, and Cherokee blood. Talk about a bizarre combination.
Back to knives... we really need that chat room.

I had the opportunity to pick up one of those babies this past Sat but had to decline. I spent my cash on a Tom Anderson Papoose folder. I still wish I had 40 extra bucks.

Lsaulog,
You got your HK hugh? Cool deal. I may get mine soon-maybe when I arrive home this eve. I get stuff from Florida to LA quicker than from Texas. Always slow from there to here. This is your first Q-Knife? Now you are really hooked and challenged to find others. Those are such neat little gems. So easy to one hand and great for opening boxes, cutting twine and camp chores. Just don't hesitate to resharpen it on the 204 regularily. I let my first one get pretty dull (before having the 204), and I sent it to golden for a re-sharpen. They did their best, but it was pretty far gone. It came back with a letter scolding me for being too late to really save it.Dumb ole me.
Three years ago, before the Spydie bug really bit me, I went to a few gun shows and gathered a bunch of Q's up after finding-out that they were being discontinued. Dealers thought I was nuts for hunting those down. I think the most I paid was $32.00; and got some for $22.00. You'll agree now that those Q's were a wise investment! So, I am looking for that big brown truck once again!!!

Kahz,
Wow, that is neat that you know about your family history like that. Can I have your autograph? I didn't know that you were related to Stephen F. Austin! :-)
I don't think I have anyone famous in my family line. I do know that I have a ton of German blood, from both sides, a little bit of Russian, some Lithuanian, and even some Polish. [ I love Polish jokes! ] I even think I had a Romanian great-grandpa on my mom's side. Guess I'm kinda your "all in one and one in all" type. I think that my dad's side came over to the U.S. sometime in the 1800's. 1847 I think.
Your right, though. The forum could sure use a chat-room. :-)

Good catch Spydernut!!
There are plenty of chat rooms that let you make your own, and lock out people you don't want in it. Its just hard to get enough people at one time to be in the room all at once.
