I dontknow if i can call it a real hard decision, and quite frankly, its more focus on the pricetag.
Here goes, the Caly3 G10 plainedge is available to me,but at double the price of a Delica4 or Salt1.
I need to know,go cheaper and buy the Salt1 Spyderedge yellow FRN,or pay double, and get the Caly3 plain G10.
This would have been easy to solve,if i was loaded with cash, cause then il take both.
I can break an arm,and just use one arm and go
for the Caly3.
Should i break the arm completely, cause i think its halfway fractured already on the Caly3plain G10.
Opinions needed so i can close the chapter on this one.

Caly3 vs D4 .... both great knives....but if you are only going to get 1, then I'd get the Caly3.
However, if you plan to get more knives later, then I'd be recommending the stepping-stones method of acquisition. Get the D4 first, then later you can step up to the higher quality knives. Nothing wrong with the D4 mind you, it is actually one of the better designed knives (KISS principles and all). However, if you must say which is the better, I'd say the Caly3.
It is much nicer to step up than to step down if you make the considerations above.

Size-wise, very similar. Caly3 is full flat grind, low riding wire clip, G10, only pivot adjustable, no lanyard hole. D4 is FRN, flat black clip and can be made to be LH or RH, TU or TD carry, fully demountable, lanyard hole thru clip.

If it were me making that decision I would go for the Caly3... because in buying a knife or anything else... i always say this to myself, if you are already in the beach might as well take a dip...:)

An important consideration to make is the difference in blade grind.
The Caly is flat ground. Better for slicing and pure cutting.
The Delica is saber ground. While it's still sharp, it's not quite as sharp as a flat grind. But it does hold up slightly better to hard use.
So, if you need a knife for tasks that are slightly tougher on your knife (cutting through a lot of zip ties, for instance), I would recommend the D4.
But if you just want an EDC knife for cutting various things that come your way, then I would go Caly3 all the way. :D

What about the rumors of the d5 with g10 handles and a flat ground blade. SWEET!!

A purchasing technique I've used successfully, when funds are at a premium and I disire mucho steel is to sell blood or unncecssary or redundant bodily organs. Selling the organs of others is also a good idea if you can find willing participants. My children are usually pretty understanding.
