I wonder when this beauty will be out?

(From the Ebay page where it did not sell, even at $228.50, because it did not meet the reserve): It is of similar design to Tim Wegner's earlier collaborative efforts with Spyderco. This knife features a BG-42 blade, full dual stainless liners, Spyderco's Compression Lock, and highly textured dual color paw print G-10 handle slabs. It is absolutely perfect as was delivered to me, and just like the other Wegners, is built like a tank. Very stout. The action is incredibly smooth, and the Compression Lock does it's job quite nicely. The texture of the green G-10 is extremely grippy, and the shape of the handle makes it feel "perfect" in the hand. Additional specs are below.

Blade:BG-42, satin finsh, 3 1/4" long

Overall length:7 1/2" long

Thick:3/8"

Handle:Inside- Dual full stainless liners nested in black G-10 slabs with stainless cylindrical spacers. Outside- Textured green G-10 overlays, paw print cut-outs

Locking Mechanism:Spyderco Compression Lock

Pocket Clip:A truly ambidextrous model, the clip can be positioned for either tip up or tip down carry, for a lefty or a righty- four position.

Maybe our favorite company could make an Ocelot Jr. and tap into the demand for a low cost Mouse? Howaboutit Sal?

My dealer told me they would be about 225.00 and he was not going to carry them because of the price.

I don't doubt that you heard that from your dealer but the Millie and Police and the Wegner are priced at around $155 (and around $90 on ebay). I can't imagine that the Ocelot would be any more than they are, unless Sal personally puts the paw prints in by paw, by golly.

Jeff, (our GEM), plans on making the knife in FRN at under $100 MSRP. The proto that I saw looked very good. pugs and all.

The Ocelot will only be in FRN. I believe (but am not sure) that it will have the BG-42 blade.

Sal,

Will the FRN be coloured or black?

At this time, we're planning only the FRN version. Production of a G-10 version would be difficult at this time.

The FRN version will have the pugs.

We've not yet decided on the steel, but it will be something fairly exotic for edge retention.

Regarding color, the "goal" at this time is multi colored, if we can do it.
