I was recently reading an issue of Men's Health and stumbled
upon this as their "gadgets to have" for 2008 ( this article is from
Popular Mechanics however ) :

http://www.popularmechanics.com/blogs/home_journal_news/4221370.html

A "bare bones" microtool, light in weight and not as complicated as others.

Any opinions?

looks nice... although i've broken every leatherman i've ever owned (while in africa), except for one of the older PST's (thanks, patrick... :D )... and it always happened without my trying to stress or damage them. i had a wave that only lasted about two days! :(

Hi Allen,

This is an interesting item.
Too bad multitools are not quite my style. I'm the old fashion kind of guy who'd rather have a pair of plyers and a standard screwdriver instead of those sophisticated things.

I like it. Too bad it will be December or longer before they're available.

I'll be picking one up when my local gets them in. Add to my collection of multi's...

Jason: if you think the older PST is tough, check out the surge.
I've got a core broken in after a year, still working on breaking my surge in after a few months and now I've also got a charge to work on.

Haven't managed to break a LM multi yet... though I have broken a few gerbers and cheaper ones.
