I want to know how you form a first impression of a knife, and how often; how much it is changed over time?

Sal, where do your first ideas for knives come from? Careful research and study or by accident? I would guess both.

My idea of a perfect knife is what tells me what to get. If it gets anywhere close, it's mine...

3-3.5" blade
COMFORTABLE to hold
"grippy" handle
lots of belly(for it's size)
takes an edge, and holds it!

My tastes have changed in the last 2 yrs, when the Delica was the perfect knife to me, currently my best is the Calypso jr lt...

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

Hi Fisherman. I've been a knife person since a young kid. I just decided what features that I wanted in a knife and developed them. I wanted one hand open, easy access and more cutting horsepower.
