:spyder: :spyder:  :spyder: :spyder: As many of you know, I have been carrying a peice of history(:spyder: ) in my pocket since 1994! My first Spyderco changed the way I thought of "knives"! In my opinion, that is because a Spyderco is not like any other knife, and I have 500+ of all kinds; Thankfully, most are Spyders! Anyway, I'm just letting everyone share what they think about Spyderco, and the man behind the mask, and all his "sidekicks". I would gladly pay top$ for one of Spydercos cheapest blades, and refuse to get one for free from any other high, or lowend cutlery! Spyderco represents Quallity, craftsmanship, design, superier techknowledgy, and values that I have never seen! For ex: Take the D'allara line...What knife cutlery would, or has gone so far, and beyond to design, and build one of the worlds finest blades to Honor, and respect those who have fallen, and who are serving! That is just....Impecable!!! Thank you Sal, Eric, Kristi, and the rest of the team for changing the world of cutlery!Spyderco..."Expect nothing less from the best" ! This is my opinion...What is yours?

This is what several of us said recently on the subject-http://ianzahn.net/images/lunch2_ver13.jpg (http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30203)

I no longer buy anything but Spyderco knives. Other than 6 Victorinox knives and one TOPS Wolf Pup all I own is Spyderco.

And yes.......what Ian said.

Spyderco is the shizzle!

My first expensive knife was a Smith and Wesson Extreme ops folder, it was not bad, but police confiscated, after that i found a great knife: CRKT M16, and i kinda loved it. That was the mistake, i bought 5 more from colimbia river, and all of them was a big disappointment. When i decided to look for a new folder, i found a test in a Local webmagazine about the native 3 and delica ss. And that was the start, I bought it, and i loveit!! Best tools i ever had. Thanks for the crew: Sal Eric Kristi and other members of the company. Sometimes other brands models catch my eyes, i would like to try 'em, but i never feel that i really want to OWN them! Im addicted to :spyder: ! Its Lova or Crazy, dont know, but i dont care: just enjoy the best Cutlery!!!

There are many fine knifemakers out there, and many offer interesting stuff.
But if I want a folder I can trust my life upon, the only one I can think of is Spyderco.
Not to mention I have more reasons than most of you to be grateful to Sal & the crew... ;)

The more I've learned about things, the more I have come to have admiration, and respect for the journey that Sal has traveled in his lifetime. He has made his mark, led rather than followed, sought out more to learn whenever he got the chance and passed that knowledge on to a lot of others in the industry, as others have to him. As one of the worst steel junkies here and at other forums I'll state unequivocally Sal has forgotten more than I'll ever know about steels.

A true modesty, not just the modest veneer that many people use. Still willing to listen, or take the time to explain why something won't work in real life to guys like me.

One of the best things is the way Sal has accumulated other decent, hard working self starters ( Kristi, Joyce to name a few) around him. People that would be successful anywhere they go.

All the kind of people you just want to see have success and do well in life.

If you want to know about Sal, talk to his competitors. Publicly at least they speak very highly not just about Sal, but his company, products, business model, etc. I know at least one guy in a successfull competitor company that has admitted that Sal has helped and taught him some things .

Oh yeah, and there's the knives. :D No need to get into that. That's why we're here.

Alright Sal, and Spyderco, enough of this ......*expletives deleted*. Get back to work. I've got my stretch 2 and love it. Time to bring the S90V out! The sooner the better! Joe

That is Spyderco in a nutshell! :)

The knives they produce are just so well made. I love that the :spyder: 's don't look like everything else out there, are so well made, and also utilize some of the best materials available for very reasonable prices. Just like alot of other people I look at knives when I am out shopping, and 90% of the "other" knives just dont measure up to the :spyder: I have in my pocket, let alone the Bryd I have in my desk at work.
I am also very impressed by the integrity, innovation and customer service that they have made the foundation of the company.
There is a good reason why this forum is so busy:)

:spyder: :spyder:  :spyder: :spyder: Thank you for your opinions...I tried to word my opinions as good, and poetic...perfetionally as all of you, but I'm sure I got my point accross. I do say that I am in no way putting down any knife company...I, like all of you have looked @, and bought lots of knives, but nothing compares to Spyderco, and that is what puts them on top! P.s....Is there a way I can get my signature on that which most of you have signed?

That is actually the proof for this plaque-
http://ianzahn.net/images/dcp_5198a.jpg
and it was presented to the employees on the day that we bought the company lunch. The individual names are the folks that actively participated in making the lunch happen, but it was important to the group to have all folks represented, hence the line-
From all the afi's, collectors, forumites, steel junkies, and users...

I think it would be cool if maybe there was a 'Second Annual Our Favorite Knife Company Appreciation Lunch' and we could get another plaque with a whole list of new names on it to hang with this one :D .

You can read more about the lunch here http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30203.

I just want to say how much I appreciate Spyderco as a company and as an upstanding corporate citizen. Spyderco products are the best value in the knife world, IMHO, and are my knives of choice for both using and collecting. It is safe to say, that Spyderco knives have given me great pleasure from all aspects of their design and construction.

Thanks Sal and family for producing the best knives in the world, in an ethical manner.

Regards, Al

P.S. - Merry Christmas!
