Anyone here carry a Maxpedition wallet?
I recently bought their Spartan wallet, but its much larger than I had hoped. I am thinking of getting a Maxpedition Micro or Urban wallet. I currently carry a card case in lieu of a wallet. I prefer something thin. Anyone carry either of these models?

After reading this I got curious, so I checked and there are plenty on eBay. Now I want a Maxpedition wallet and one of the Jumbo versapaks to make a bug out bag.
Did you have the older model Spartan with the zippered change section, or the newer one with no change purse? It says on the Maxpedition website that the new model is significantly slimmer.

I've never really cared for fabric wallets. They tend to get a little damp in my back pocket.

The previous version was called the Pug. Too many complaints about size, so they came out with the Spartan. I was trying to figure out how big a pocket I needed to get it to fit.

I don't like to carry a thick wallet, unless it's going in a cargo pocket, I guess. I'm actually thinking of switching to an ultra-thin front-pocket wallet.

I have one of their Urban wallets. Carried it for a couple days. Found it very stiff, well constructed but poorly finished (none of the sides are square, stitching is crooked, etc.) and incredibly unattractive. It's stuck away somewhere in a drawer or box.

The pictures of the Spartan look pretty cool, so I broke out my ruler and drew a rectangle the same size as the dimensions on the Maxpedition website. It does seem pretty huge.
I guess I will wait until I see one at a brick and mortar store so I can really get a grip on what it looks like. Oh, and to make sure I don't get a lemon like you did, Paul!

i bought an "All-Et" about a year ago, billed as the worlds thinnest wallet. all the stuff i carried in my old leather wallet fits in the All-Et with plenty of room to spare and at a fraction of the thickness. it takes some getting used to, but i dont even notice the wallet in my back or front pocket anymore. i really like it.

It is the Spartan without a coin pouch. Still bigger than an average wallet. I thought it seemed well made and plenty sturdy, just too big.

Harry, thanks for steering me to the all-ett wallets. I just ordered their European model, plus a spare card case for my front pocket. I think it's what I've been looking for.
