This will be a mulit-part question.

First, do you carry it tip up or down??

Second, do you carry left side or right??

Here's my problem. I wanted the Vesuvius to be my left side knife. The day I received it(Thanks Sharp1) I positioned it left pocket, tip up. The way I've been carrying a Delica for 5 years or so. Anyways, I poked a small hole in a knuckle, because the blade had opened alittle. So I tightened up the pivot a few small turns, and tried again. The second poke I moved it to right side.

The Compression lock doesn't seem to hold the blade flush with the handle. I can pull the blade out slightly, then it hits a bump/delay/snag, and then comes all the way out. Is it just the way the lock is, or should I be able to tighten it more so it will stay flush with the handle? Any help will be appreciated!! Thanks.

Gee Blades-No answers; hmmm...

The other Vesuvius that I have has the same "easy" action. I think that they must "just" be this way. Maybe you can tweak it down a bit.It seams like you work on your own knifes a bit. Poked skin is no fun. This knife would be a good candidate to carry clipless in a size small Gerber Nylon/Velcro belt sheath. That blade shape is cool, aye?

Yeah I guess I'm the only person who tried to carry it tip up on my left side. Oh well. I might have to try it tip down for awhile and see if I can adapt.
Yeah I like the blade shape. I'm not sure what you would call it, but I like it. Thanks again.
