I have a lot of pumpkin carving to do this year! For friends, family, co-workers, my sons day care, etc.

I'm leaning toward the C50 Centofante II for speed & accuracy.

But I'm concerned with the volume of pumpkins I have to carve! Wouldn't either a Chinook or Military with CPM440V be better choices for longevity between sharpenings?

Also plain edge seems the way to go on pumpkins.

OPINIONS PLEASE! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Dude - you choice : Uncle Frank's plain edged spear point knife is great for pumpkins! Also recommended - Uncle Jess' lightweight folder which ROCKS! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> Oh yeah, Happy Halloween John, are you dropping spydies for the trick or treat sessions? *hee-hee!*

I'd go Mil in plainedge. I reckon the Cento would be a bit flimsy, esp if your pumpkins are like Aussie ones <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

I have the small Centofante, and it's anything but flimsy. The big one should be great for pumpkin carving!

I was thinking I should have the Chinook or Live Gunting as back up in case the pumpkins get rowdy or are irridated or something!! LOL

dude - if the pumpkins show some signs of irritation at the sight of your Spydies, you are indeed : in serious trouble... <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Hi John. Have you considered the K09 kitchen paring knife?
