I keep thinking about Spyderco knives and now I have decided (I think) to spend my Christmas money on knives instead of Xbox.

Do I have some kind of problem, or is it that I am attracted to quality?

Anyhow, anyone got a Starmate they wanna give me for free?

Please?

hehehe

Looks like I am gonna buy the Xbox when I get my job and the knife(knives) with my Christmas money...not sure though..I have to decide...

Help me out here with my decision as to which I should get first...

I am only going to get one knife, a Starmate or Military...I am leaning towards Starmate, as I have been for a while. Any last words on which I should get?

...

Wahhhh the Starmate is smaller than an Endura but I am looking for a BIG knife

Military here I come

This decision is hard

"I beseech ye therefore brethern....

buy the STARMATE."

Yeah, I know. A little quote from the Bible, with my own little twist at the end.

Hope this helps you, Kurtis.

PS. If you get it, you can talk me into getting one! hehe

The affliction you are describing is called Spydie Fever. There are a few variations like Pink Spydie Fever, or Blue Spydie Fever, but the symptoms are all the same. It's not a problem, it's an incurable disease! It can also be quite contagious for those that frequent this Forum. Is it a bad thing? Nah, just expensive!

Now, about that Starmate. If you compare the blade lengths, 96mm vs. 100mm, a 4mm difference is not very significant. I own an FRN Endura and the serrated Starmate but I prefer to carry the Starmate. Why? It's not your "average" Spydie. The fact that it's discontinued is one of the reasons why I got one. The shape of the blade is another reason. At 5mm, the sheer thickness of it is quite impressive. I really like the way the swedge shapes the clip-point. It's a hefty knife compared to the Endura. It weighs 4.25oz compared to 2.9oz. I love the G-10 scales. It's not as "harsh" as the volcano grip on the Endura.

IMHO, I would choose a Starmate over an Endura. True, the Endura is considered the cornerstone of lightweight folders. It's also one of the top sellers of all Spydies. The Terzuola, on the other hand, is just "different". If you wanted to express your individuality, I'd choose the Starmate.

spydies vs xbox... oo theres a hard one (sarcasm) the xbox is gonna be pathetic misrosoft crap, mark my works it'll flunk worse than the dreamcast... prehaps worse than a *shudders* saturn. the ONLY reason that you could possibly have for buying an xbox is Halo. thats only because its a pc game which got swapped to a console at the last minute. you have a pc (obviously) instead of an xbox get a kicka$$ graphics card or more ram then treat yourself to a few PROPER games, pcs whoop consoles a$$es any day. down with consoles! LONG LIVE THE PC!!!

eh lsaulog sorry for the confusion!! I am debating over Starmate and Military I was complaining because the Starmate is smaller than me Endura which I already own, and I want a bigger knife, but the G10 and the CMP440V makes up for that, no?

So I guess I will get a Starmate, heck I might be able to order it Christmas day, if my cousin comes over here

OK Ruxton calm down, video games belong on different web sites, let's not turn this into a flame war.

Now the big question!

Should I buy it for $156 at a store and have it right away, or order it from John F Jensen and wait for it for $95?

Is it really that good to run out and buy rather than wait?

Go for the 95.00 and use the rest to get a native.

What ever you like.
BTW I bet the X box will be at least half price by year.
Why not down load an emulator for your PC and the games and have it for free?I have a friend that has done this for PS2.

I would get an emulator but my computer is crap

I think I am just gonna buy the Xbox whenever I get the money, and go with a plain edge Calypso since it is considerably cheaper, and therefore I would get the Xbox faster!
