Hi all,
About three hours I am a fresh owner of two great knives: Mini-Manix and current Military model. To describe their qualities would be "taking coals to Newcastle." We say "taking wood to the forest."
Why Military doesn't have a mark on the blade like Manix?

Two great knives! Congrats

The manix was designed by Eric Glesser (son), while the military was designed by Sal Glesser (father/creator of spyderco). The "E" symbol on the manix is basically Eric's signature--the military has no such signature.

Two great knives!

Great knives, indeed. These are early presents to my 56 BD. Hard to believe that the "better" one, Manix is discontinued. I have been using folders since my childhood (more than 45 yrs now) and haven't ever own such an ergonomically "perfect" knife.
I went through 2008 catalogue but didn't find anything like that. Yes, yes, all Spyders are above-average factory made knives. But only these are my blood bag with a certain exception of LAVA and Caly3, my future presents to myself on another occasion.
Vivat Manix!

The Manix line has alot of charm , they both grow on you over time . Someday hope to see this knife come back revitalized with a new super steel . MG2
