I've had my eye on a Dyad for a while, finally got one. I think it is a great knife, very useful for general purposes. I like the Dyad jr. and mini Dyad, but I think there could be a need for a Dyad sr. It's an excellent idea to have both blades, P/E & S/E on the same knife. With so many people not being able to decide between the two, you have the best of both worlds! I think a "senior" model with larger blades would be quite popular! If you were stranded on an island and could only have one Spyderco knife, would you choose the Dyad? I would!

What do you think?

Chinook,

I already have a C44 Dyad, what I'm saying is a larger version, with Police (C07) size blades would be great! The blade length on the C44 is 3.750, a bigger Dyad blade say 4.250 would be useful IMO.
I know that would be a LARGE knife but it would be useful!

Oh My !!
That would be a monster. The Dyad is quite a pocketfull now.

Shades of the TwoHeaded Civibeast ><g>

I would think a sheath would be needed to carry it.

As Mick Dundee would say "Now that's a knife!!" to larger Dyad.

Is the full-size Dyad extra wide like the Mini-Dyad (micarta)? If so, the Sr does sound pretty bulky. Mr. H, I think it would be great to have if stranded on an island, as long as you didn't have to swim to get there.

Just kidding, I couldn't resist. Honestly, that would be a powerful tool.

Take care,
