Hey guys how are yah
I never sell anything on ebay and this my first time doing so.
It's just I agreed to ship to the Netherlands and received the amount through paypal ( Unconfirmed ). I asked confirmed, but I believe the buyer may have made a mistake.
Just to be on the safe side, because it is my first transaction. I transfered the money from my paypal account to my bank account.
The paypal website showed pending status for one day and now shows completed status and it only took 1 day to transfer the money:confused: . It lists on paypal it would take 5-7 days in order to transfer the money.
I checked my bank account and the money is not there.
So all in all what should I do I still haven't shipped the item and was going to do it today, but now it's just I don't want to be left holding the bag.
any advise is much appreciated

If you mean an unconfirmed address, Paypal claim they're unable to confirm addresses in some countries. The Netherlands may be one of them.

Give it the full 7 days. Paypal may have been quick to transfer the money... but it's possible your bank is slow to process it. If the money still isn't there in 7 days then worry.

Thanks knife bro atleast I know when I can start worrying :D.
Well after thinking about for a bit. I will give the person the benefit of the doubt. I haven't been burned yet trusting others and hopefully this is no different, but hey if it happens the money I lose is nothing compared to the life lesson i will learn.
take care & thanks for the help

The last time i transfered money from Paypal into my bank account it took 2 days. I would guess that the bank will take longer to process things since it's the weekend

If you sell something on eBay, and Pay Pal places the funds from the buyer into your PP account (and not listed as pending), it means they have received good funds and you have nothing to worry about concerning the buyer.
If your banking account numbers etc are in order, your funds will certainly find you.
The only risk you have remaining is receipt of the item by the buyer.

To expand on that just a little: *Some* types of international mail are no longer trackable once they leave the U.S.

Hi AJ1985,
Just wait for the transfer to clear.
I'm from the Netherlands (didn't buy your knife though) ;) ,
normally it takes 4 days to clear over here.
Paypal always works fine, even international without a confirmed address!
I paid for over 100 knives this way.
I do however appreciate and honour you for your willingness to sell and ship over the pond.
I wish more people were flexible.
As one person stated earlier.
In most (I believe even all) European countries the residents are not able to upgrade their account to a confirmed address.
This is due to agreements between the European credit card organizations and the European watch-dog that watches over (privacy) personal data, so that these are protected in general.
Paypal is working on it, they say they are (for over 4 years now).
This is what Paypal wrote me:
Dear *********,
Thank you for contacting PayPal with your concern.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to confirm you address at the
moment.
We hope to have this feature as well for our european customers in the
near
future.
Effective October 10, 2003, addresses provided by UK and Canadian buyers
may have the status of 'Confirmed'. A Confirmed Address is a user's
credit
card billing address. Because not all credit card companies are
currently
able to confirm an address, only some UK and Canadian addresses may be
confirmed at this time. Sellers can use the presence of a Confirmed
Address
as an additional risk management tool when considering transactions
where
Seller Protection Policy may be unavailable. All addresses for users
outside the US, UK, and Canada will continue to show a status of
Unconfirmed.
PayPal (Europe) Limited is authorized and regulated by the Financial
Services Authority in the United Kingdom as an electronic money
institution.
I understand your frustration regarding this matter and apologize for
any
inconvenience it might have caused you.
Sincerely,
Halil
