I think the seller would have to post a lot better pictures to fetch that kind of money. On the other hand, better pictures might make it less likely to bring big bucks. Only time will tell.

in the questions at the bottom, someone asks if it's PE of SE... the pic shows PE but the seller says SE... hhhmmmmm....

I picked up an old slab-side SE Police before Christmas. Not a PIG, but first generation. Before I worked on the edge for...let's just say a while...you could barely tell it was serrated from the back side. I don't know if the old models just had more rounded serrations or if they were worn off by twenty years of improper sharpening. It could be a bit of both on mine. I also noticed that those old models were flat saber ground rather than hollow saber like the newer ones, which makes the serrations less apparent from the back.
I guess I've never shown my Police group.
Top to bottom:
SE slab-side, no steel marking
PE marked GIN-1
SE Aluminum marked G-2
PE G-10 FFG marked ATS-55
PE marked VG-10
and a couple of pix comparing the serrations.

i won't be bidding on this one - you have to ask yourself why he only has 2 pics - one with the knife closed and the other showing the back of the blade.
although he does have very good feedback and he does say the blade is perfect
