Me!  :p Seriously, though? I'd like to see more of Chad's designs become :spyder: reality. How come Boker gets all the fun?

If Sal had the option to pick up the Subcom line an ha passed on it , I would say that was a bad call .
A Spydie flavoured Subcom would be the heat . I have a hell of a lot more faith in Spydie quality than Bokers .

I'd love to see another Chad knife get made. I love the Lava. As far as non-forumites go I would love to see Perrin folder.

Since other's are chiming in with non-forum membes I'll un-disregard this post and say the designer of the only 2 Benchmade's I own: Neil Blackwood.

Chad is the first to come to mind, then Alex. but how about some fresh faces??? Maybe a Coogler Spydie collab??? How about a Fallkniven Spydie collab??? Or how about this, Ed Caffrey spydie collaboration on his progression II folder. There ar so many others...Draven, Rinaldi, Blackwood, Michael Burch, Brock, Burnley, SAR?????

you all are too kind i thank you
the latest smaller folder really fits my hand great not that the larger one does not but i see more use in the smaller handle /blade as a 4 inch bladed folder had a limited use (by law) so far as fixed blade im not sure i have any thing that is too off the wall or ground braking (hard to do this day in age )
a razor would be cool but there is little to be worked out in the style other then maybe in the handle as an ergo change could be done. i think if any one could make a more friendly ergo razor it would be spyderco

Of the forum members, I'd love to seen another of Dialex's designs come to life.
If given a fantasy choice not restricted to the forum, I'll go for broke and say Todd Begg. A nice solid folder with 3 1/2" - 4" inch blade, combo of Spyderhole/flipper for opening and he does some seriously cool handles. To me, this would be a showpiece knife that could handle the hard work too without a problem, like the Kershaw Tyrade.

I am an avid fan of Ed Schempp designs--especially the Kris. I am anxiously awaiting his Khukri based Spyderco design. I am also a big fan of the Lava and other knives designed by Chad. I expect Chad to be fully occupied with Boker for awhile (though I would not be surprised to see him branch out to other companies either).
As for non-forumites: a James Coogler design would be very sweet. I particularly like his fixed blade karambits.

I do believe it is supposed to be a folder--at least that is the last I heard regarding this blade.

After perusing Dialex's gallery of concept blades today I have to say I would like to see another :spyder: with his name on it. Some favorites would be the Gentlebug II, a great small knife concept. The Flashback II has a great Wharnie blade. And the Toptack looks like nothing Spyderco is making right now. The Akimbo is perhaps my favorite blade, although I think handle ergos could use some softening.
If you have never checked out his designs just click the link in his signature. I wish I had checked it out before now. There's some really cool stuff there. Nice work Dialex!
I would love to see many more from Ed Schempp. I carry C-83 Persian for more than a year. It is the beautiful knife and a great tool. Recently I bought C-105 mini Persian. I was amazed with beauty of this knife and that made me want micro Persian with 2.5" blade.
Also I can not wait for folding Khukri from mr. Schempp.

I wold be interested in seeing a medium/small folder designed by Fred Perrin. He has some unusual thought about knife design.

I would agree & cast my vote for fellow forumite Lloyd R Harner III aka Butch.
I have a couple of his neck knives I love them & I would love to see a collaboration folder.
Maybe even use some of his home made handle material : )

Butch is talented and aquiring experience quickly. He's also a really good guy. Dialex and daywalker are also both very talented, and good people. I couldn't chose between them for the life of me.
STR is a sleeper though. I've been wanting an ouperator for some time now. I'm still saving for it. I'd like to get something from Butch in 10V too.
I should start selling off some knives to get this process in motion quicker. I hate doing that though. Joe

I agree with you whole heartedly.
We have seen a Spydie from both Dialex & Daywalker already I am by no means suggesting Spyderco never do another collaboration with either of them again in fact I would welcome it & buy those knives for sure.
I love STR's work he has done some stuff for me & I also would love one of his Ouperator's as well I was not thinking of him when I cast my vote for Butch so I will say now I would like to see both Butch and STR collaborate with Spyderco on a new folder :)

Hi Butch.
I think you won't have any problems getting a Spyderco permit to use their round hole. AFAIK, they require the symbolic fee of 1 dollar per knife, on the condition that you don't make more than 50 pieces a year. 50 dollars a year isn't that much, IMHO.

Butch, I guess you can say we have been following your work over the last couple years and it's very apparent you've got what it takes. We've seen you getting better and better. Your grinds are good, attention to detail is there, but what stands out is your confidence and desire to get out of the box with rarely seen things like homemade micarta in denim ( most just buy micarta, G10, etc , but you make it along with the hardware)
That's attention to detail and going the extra yard. I really want a Butcher block custom in 10V and am saving for it. STR's Operatour in 1095 is also haunting me. Regards, Joe

Thinkin' that the likes of a Sayeret inspired desert raider knife would be great!
Or we could give Jack Crain a shot at knockin' off Rambo's socks; enough to make Arnie come back to the movies with cigar in hand...

I would also love to see the new Schempp folder. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new mini_persian.
For a non-Forum member I'd love to see a Fred Perrin folder. On a side-note, I purchased a tri-folder from him a while back and while it's a novel toy, it's not really a sensible knife in any context, you can't really cut anything with it without the blade flipping back, until you're cutting paper or water, and the handle is smooth stainless steel with zero jimping or modified guard to keep your fingers from sliding forward or back. That said, I love the Street Beat and it's my only FB at the moment.
My vote is for a Fred Perrin Spyderco folder! :spyder:
