Hey All, I just received the Beretta Folder I won on "Evilbay". As promised, here's a short review and some pix (again not the greatest) :o .
Overall looks - Nothing real special. Looks just like any other black G-10 folder ...no special bells or whistles here.
Opening - Real smooth and no hesitations...ambidextrous opening (dual thumb studs).
Lock-Up - Dual Ti Liners and Solid Lock -Up ...Zero Horizontal or Vertica Play.
Blade - 1/8 inch thick, S30V Steel, Great Jimping on the thumb ramp, and Crazy Sharp.
Handle - Black G-10 ...Super Grippy with jimping on the top (toward front), back (reverse grip), undernearth (toward the rear of handle), and on the liner lock. Lanyard hole.
Clip - Ti construction and super tight ...uses two torx head screws to keep in place ...drilled for tip up carry only and either left or right side carry.
Overall Construction - Solid construction. Torx head screws, Combined with the Ti liners, G-10 handles, S30V blade steel. This is a well designed and durable folder for everyday cutting tasks.
To mention the clothing clip again ...WOW!!! With the combined Ti construction and grippy G-10, this knife isn't going anywhere. Where It's Clipped, It Stays Almost to Good. It's a bit to tight IMO.
Considering it's worth approximately between $150 to $200, and I picked it up for $90. I'd have to say I got a real good deal on a decent built knife made in Italy. I'll know more about it once I start cutting with it. This is just 1st impression. We'll see once the fun stuff starts :p .
Thank You for listening and just thought I'd share. Take Good Care All and Be Safe Always.
God Bless :)
