New guy here....

Hey everyone. Just saying hi, now that I'm a member of the forum.
I'm a noob when it comes to Spyderco knives and I've yet to purchase my first one, tho I hope to change that soon.

I grew up using and carrying various pocket knives on the farm/ranch, but now my knife related interests are mainly in the MBC realm.

Looks like I've got a lot to learn about these knives...I look forward to it.

Although the only dedicated MBC knife Spyderco made (the Gunting) is discontinued, there are still others that are MBC "compatible", to say so: Chinook, Manix and ATR being the first that come into my mind right now.

EDIT: I don't know much about MBC, but there are some very knowledgeable people on this forum such as Michael Cook, KaliGman, Doc Snubnose, and others. I'm sure that those guys will come along and dispense knowledge. You could also try a search function since there have been many threads related to MBC here. Good Luck.

I like the Yojimbo and the Street Beat, though it may be hard to explain why you have a Street Beat strapped to your belt if ever stopped by a police officer. I only wear mine on special occassions, you know, when I'm wearing a suit or somewhere in a sketch neighborhood.:cool:
