View Full Version : The Cricket family expanded...
Hi,
I found (and bought) a new Carbon Fiber Plain Cricket. I sold one some years ago and still regret that. I'm glad to have one back! Now I only have to buy the Zytel's and to find a serrated CF.

That's a nice collection!
Jeff.
Ted, nice collection! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
The cricket's a fine little knife, I like the reverse blade very, very much.

Ted-
Sorry you regret selling it but I tell you what... it looks really good in my display case next to all my other Spydies. I am enjoying it. Glad you found a new one. Congrats!

JYork,
Glad you still enjoy it.
At the time I was OK with it, but later I got more Cricket's (pink and serrated aluminum) and a Dragonfly and I was looking for the CF again.
Well, now we both have one! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
Do you also have a serrated one?

Time for thread recycling!
Knife Knut on a shoestring budget. RKBA
Suweet Crickets Ted but you're not gettin' off that easy!! You have to find one of the attached!! (Or have one made from SFSW when them SS babies arrive)
BTW: Your CF SE is waiting for you over on Naohiko Hasegawa's web site:
<a href="http://www.hamonoichiba.com"><Font Color=FF00FF>Hamonoichiba</font></a>
Naohiko still has the Yin-Yang Crickets if you can't find the SFSW.
Then if you're still Cricket craving - You can hob-nob with God ‘cause I hear tell he buys his Crickets here:
<a href="http://bladeart.com/artists/frank_recupero/frank_recupero.htm"><font color=FF00FF>Frank's Heavenly Crickets</font></a>
Hope this doesn't set you back to much!! Heh-heh! <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

My EDC - I think the Cricket is a PERFECT design for a small blade. Thanks Sal and company! I can't wait until April when the SS Cricket arrives.

Gang -
SE cricket's my EDC for life ( until
it is supplanted by the SE SS model<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)
"Cricket's, don't leave home with
out'em!<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>"

Wow, a year later, and I've sold my CF cricket's. ( for my Sebenza )
What's left is a Tufram PE which is my EDC, and a Tufram SE and a Pink SE.
But those will soon be accompanied by a pair of SS Crickets!
Edit: I indeed got a CF SE from Japan... Sold that one too... Still don't really like CF and FRN. G-10 is still my fav!

Any ideas on how to get those special Cricket's in the States, for the non Japanese speaking folk? =) Cheers. (Shoot me an email with the info if you ahve the chance: djo@ucsd.edu)
How I did it (twice and all went very smoothly!):
Go to this link: <A HREF="http://www.hamonoichiba.com/products/spyderco/sp_list_e.html">http://www.hamonoichiba.com/products/spyderco/sp_list_e.html</A>
Write down the part numbers of the items you want to order (SP00......)
Compose an e-mail to info@hamonoichiba.com with your order, and your shipping information.
You will get a confirmation mail from Naohiko Hasegawa with the total order amount incl. shipping.
Then provide him with your credit-card information (either via e-mail or fax (0575-24-1322), and a couple of days/weeks later you will get your knives!
Good luck!
