I wonder if I'm the only one... Has anyone else noticed a problem with the spring for the file /screwdriver bit / lock on their Spyderench? I have noticed that it will expand after a few uses and make it impossible to replace the file /screwdriver bit / lock once it has been deployed. It appears that the spring should either:
1) Have a smaller I.D. to keep it from expanding over the shoulder of the file /screwdriver bit / lock.
2) Be manufactured from a stronger material with greater “memory” to retain its shape.
3) Have the loose end of the spring attached to the main body of the spring.
4) Anything that the WIZARDS OF SPYDERCO determine to bring this fine tool up to their normally high standards of Fit, Function, and Form.
I hate to complain however I have found that this problem has been enough of a reason for me not to carry it. I still end up using/carrying my Leatherman, Gerber, or SOG tool and I would really like to be able to rely on my Spyderench.
Anyone found a viable fix for this problem?
